GALLERY-MERIT DAY-2019
April 29, 2019 was a happy day for P.G Department of Commerce. The results of 2016-19 batch was published and we had an overall A+ of 17 students and overall A grade for 17 students. After a few days university published the rank list and the Rank List was occupied by our 17 A+ holders including the 1st Rank. This was a proud and successful moment for the commerce department.
On June 12, 2019 we conducted the merit day to celebrate the success of the 2016 – 2019 batch. The programme was arranged in the newly created e-learning center. The programme began by 2.30 p.m.. The Diaz was occupied by our honourable Principal Dr.Jojo K. Joseph , HoD Mr. Anish Thomas and our ever shining 1st Rank holder Miss. Arathy Babu.
The merit day started with the blessing of lord through a prayer song. The welcome speech was given by respected Hod Mr. Anish Thomas. Felicitation was by our dear Principal Dr. Jojo K. Joseph. The star of the day Ms. Arathy Babu was invited for the reply speech. Along with that all the rank holders were invited to share their joy . The programme was wound up by 3.30 p.m.
GALLERY-TRAINING PROGRAMME BY JCI
The P.G. Department of commerce of Deva Matha College Kuravilangadu in association with JCI Kuravilangad had conducted a personality development training programme on 23rd November 2018.The 3 hours training programme was for B.Com final year students and 1st M.Com students. The programme on the topic “CHASE YOUR DREAMS” was conducted by an eminent personality Mr. Madhu Mohan, well known JCI trainer and the former zone president of JCI.
GALLERY-TRAINING SESSION BY HEDGE SCHOOL OF APPLIED ECONOMICS
The PG Department of Commerce of Deva Matha College Kuravilangad in association with Hedge School of Applied Economics had conducted a training programme on 19th September 2018.The one day training session was for final year students of Commerce and Economics Department. The class had provided a real world exposure of capital market. The team under the guidance of Chandru Sir had made the session very interesting and informative. The class was of two sessions, the first one was engrossing because students got to play a stock game. They were given some paper money and some paper shares of 6 different industries. And they made them to trade those shares according to the changes in the market as they prescribed. They were taught the simple basics of trading shares in the secondary market. And in the second session detailed information about the online share trading and its procedures was explained. The whole session was really educative and enlightening.
Gallery- Session on GST in Tally
A class about Tally in GST(GST integrated with tally)was conducted on 28/11/2017 by Tally Institute Pala(a professionally certified organisation of Tally ERP and SAP) in association with PG Department of Commerce. The class was taken by Mr Biju Varghese, Head of Tally Academy,Pala. The session was conducted to educate the students about how tally can be used in filing GST returns.The students of 2st year and 3rd year B.Com were the participants and it was a 1 hour long session.
GALLERY-Onam@Mother Teresa Special School
It was a blessed day for the commerce department. The staff and student representatives of the department visited Mother Teresa Special School on 31 August, 2017. We celebrated Onam with the staff and wonderful students of the school. We were overwhelmed by the reception they gave to us. The students of the school had arranged cultural programmes. We were awestruck by the performances of the students such as Folk Dance, Cinematic and Fusion Dance, Solo Song, etc. We also raised an amount from the staff and students and gave it to the principal of the school.
Gallery- Spiritual Retreat- 2016
2 Day Spiritual Retreat conducted for the all the students of Commerce Department on 11th and 12th March 2016. The retreat was conducted by COMMUNITY FIDEI under the spiritual leadership of Rev.Fr.James Koshimala (HOD of Commerce,Marian College, Kuttikanam) and his team members Mr Pious, Mr Robin Mathew,Mr Jiby, and Ms Maria Jeletta. Sessions were taken seperately for Christians and Non christian students. It was a blessed experience for all.
